The S-Bahn AKN „A1“ drives between the stations „Eidelstedt Zentrum“ (which is near Pflugacker) and the station „Eidelstedt“ (connection to S-Bahn S3 and S21).
The A1 drives commonly every 20 minutes, except in the rush hours (10 minutes), so it is probably slower to use the A1 than the „Elbgaustraße Route„. But you have one switch less with the A1.
If you use the A1 to drive to station „Eidelstedt“ at „common“ times, and to avoid long waiting for the A1, I would recommend to leave the house timed, 8 minutes before the A1 departs (use Google Maps to see current depart times). You need 6 minutes by foot to go to the secondary A1 entry „Eidelstedt Zentrum“.
With a timed start, it can be even faster than the „Elbgaustraße Route„.
