S-Bahn Station „A Eidelstedt Zentrum“ (AKN A1)

With the AKN A1 S-Bahn (Fahrplan) you drive between
S-Bahn stations „A Eidelstedt Zentrum“ and „Eidelstedt
(it’s just one station to drive – Route).

  • At station „Eidelstedt“ you have connections to S-Bahn S3 and S21:
    • S3, direction „Stade“ (Fahrplan). Some stations:
      Hauptbahnhof (Central Station)
      Landungsbrücken (Harbor)
      • Jungfernstieg (Alster)
      Altona
       Reeperbahn
      Wilhelmsburg
      • Veddel

  • The walk distance to the main shopping area is 8-12 minutes: Route
    It starts after the S-Bahn station (main entry). For example, the discounter „ALDI“: Route
  • Or, walk 2 minutes to bus station „Pflugacker“, direction „Brandstwiete“, and exit after 1 or 2 stations („A Eidelstedt Zentrum“ or „Eidelstedter Platz“).

    This is one of Germany’s largest and best Edeka branches.

    • Fresh sushi, meat, fish, and a large selection of cheese and wine.
    • Self made food, like smoothis, soups, salads.
    • Delicacies
    • Flower shop
    • Bakery (I would recommend Dallmeyers Backhus instead):
  • Within the same building (enter the Edeka-entry):
    • Bakery: Dallmeyers Backhus. Sunday open: 8-11am. They have seats.
    • Toys Shop: Toys’R’Us

My recommendations

  • Pflugacker area
    • Greek Bistro: Metaxa Grill: MapsRoute  Good, inexpensive, also delivery.
    • Ice cream parlor: Eis Langner (from March): Maps / Route  Very good ice.
      Tipp: Order one portion (€1,20) and you get 3-4 portions on the waffle. They are very generous. Maybe you want pay more? 🙂
  • Shopping area „Eidelstedter Platz“
    • Bistro: Salat Paradies: Maps / Route Vegetarian / Vegan.
    • Bistro: Barthmann: Maps / Route They have often traditional German dishes, not expensive.
    • Italian Restaurant: Il Tesoro: Maps / Route  Very good & not pricey.
    • Greek Restaurant: Achillion: Maps / Route   Very good & not pricey.
    • Steakhouse: Block House: Maps / Route  Very good meat.
    • Turkish Bistro: Klass Döner: Maps / Route Looks a bit shabby, but in my opinion the best Doner kebab & French fries in the area.

  • Fastfood: Mc Donalds: Maps / Route (near Pflugacker, in the north-direction)
  • Pork Restaurant: Schweinske: Maps / Route
